History of Casetta Firenze How it all started

Casetta is a 270-year-old luxury farmhouse nestled in the Tuscan countryside where owner Xenia Lemos has poured herself into revitalising the entire property inside and out over several years, eventually transforming the farmhouse to one of Tuscany’s most charming and breathtaking properties. Each detail of a guest’s stay is meticulously selected by Xenia herself.

When Xenia originally took possession of the farmhouse, it required massive renovations. Each year she adds something new catering to her guests including a saltwater pool, custom-built traditional pizza wood oven and planted more than 1,000 olive trees. Her growing love for cultivating the land prompted Xenia to enrol in school to study enology and agriculture, as well as learning about olive oil production from friendly neighbouring farmers.

L’agriturismo Casetta’s first heartbeat

Through Xenia’s love of hospitality and meeting people, she brought to life an inviting Italian oasis away from one of the busiest destination cities in the world to host friends near and far to stay and enjoy the Chianti region of Tuscany.

Good rumours spread, and those friends told their friends luring guests from as far as Hawaii, Brazil, New Zealand and Fiji, and so Casetta was born. Xenia established her role as one of the warmest most engaging hosts in Italy, often greeting her guests like old friends, in their native tongue (she speaks three languages) with a glass of wine from nearby vineyards.
