Art at Casetta The Debut of Rings of Knowledge

Agriturismo Casetta was the setting for the opening of a newly-commissioned multi-sensory art installation that joined the permanent collection at Casetta titled “Rings of Knowledge” by Florentine artist Marina Calamai.

For more than 18 months, Lemos worked closely with long-time friend and artist Calamai to create “Rings of Knowledge,” an art and sound installation paying homage to Mother Nature, the incredible force she plays in our lives and the relationship we have with her on earth. Running through the veins of the illuminated artwork is the Greek poem “Ithaca” by Konstantinos Kavafis, a piece that has moved Lemos throughout her life.

Guests are inspired to live in synchronicity, sustainability and peace with nature. At our opening the art, sound, poetry and modern dance performance completed an enchanting evening celebrating the natural world for all our senses. Guests are able to enjoy Xenia’s curated and growing art collection in the ethereal setting of the Chianti hills.
